Our Second Cousin Hethel

My brother and I, and our wives, went to see our second cousin, Hethel. Carmelo’s mother’s mother’s brother’s daughter’s daughter is Hethel, making us second cousins. It was really nice to go see them since it has been a long time since we saw James, Hethel’s husband. I think it has been eight years.

We ate a lot of food. Some good Filipino food too. I’ve got a hunkering for it all over again. One of the bonuses of the night was that I got a LOT more names for our family tree and a bit more understanding of how we all came to be. The family tree is now up to 174 names. Amazing!

I do hope to spend more family time with everybody. Our whole family is very loving and I appreciate that.
(Also, I’m thinking about learning some more Filipino/Tagalog). I tried the Rosetta Stone instant immersion demo and was just amazed at what I retained.
