Moved In

We asked for people to help, and holy cow!! They sure did!

We had a morning shift and an afternoon shift. So many people came and helped. Howie (Gelman) is a Tetris master as he led the packing of the truck. The morning shift rocked it. We started around the crack of dawn and by 9am, the truck was so densely packed, there was about an inch of space between the mattress (last item on the truck) and the back door.

It was quite an adventure to drive the truck across town. Dustin and Jaime were my escorts and blocked cars so that I could move from lane to lane safely without killing everybody on the road.

When we got to the house, we unloaded Dustin’s truck, went out to eat, then I took a nap on our BRAND NEW CARPET! It took me no time to fall asleep.

Later that evening, we ordered pizza and let our evening volunteers know. Not even an hour after backing up the truck to the garage, did we have the truck empty!! Hot dang!!! We celebrated with some more cool water and jumping into the pool.

We really want to thank all those who gave us a hand. Amazing! Double that to those who were helped out on both shifts!

Much thanks to:
